| Everything started in the late eighties, 1987, in Geneva, with my first aciiidhouse party and encounter with chemicals :)) Since then, was a technodiletant but true clubber. Serious education happened with the mythical Hard parties (Usine, GE), Technoviews (GE) and the 2 weeks (yes, non stop...) Weetamix Festival at Le Garage between 93 and 95. Shyly tried my vinyls on friends' turntables. Became soon addicted. Bought my own decks in 1994. Played then underground tek (detroit and stufflikethat), deep house, d 'n b, new electronica, new jazz downtempo, abstract, breakbeats, etc. never wanted to limit myself to a single genre, just to quality music. As dj/journalist: 94: launched La Clef (Geneva), cultural agenda with an electronic music section till 97 (editor, journalist). 97: Swiss issue of Parisian techno magazine Coda (editor, journalist) 98-99: Show on Swiss radio Couleur 3 ("3e sous-sol" with Miss Kittin, Oliver Mental Groove, Michel Masserey and then "Laboratoire") 98-2001: Ex-press fanzine and show on www.basic.ch with Dj Nat (co-editor, journalist). Partys: Funk your Sunday. 98-99: Line-Up and Vibration magazines (journalist) 2003-now: Zürich, Scandal! show on www.audioasyl.net with Nat and Eli Verveine. Started to organize parties in 95: Candies nights, Bitch Control, Pinup breaks, Sonic Sights, Datatransmission (with Database 59), Le Sofa, Teknowave, Scandal! parties, etc. Djed at: Dachkantine, Zukunft, Rohstofflager, Labitzke, Hive, etc. in Zürich, abundzu (Schatzalp-Davos); Reithalle (Bern); Das Schiff (Basel); Weetamix, Usine, Le Goulet, Rêve d'O, Artamis, Bâtie Festival, etc. (Geneva); Festival de Nyon; Expo.01; at Abstract Club, Skate Contest, Mash up parties, etc (Lausanne); Café Mokka (Thoune); at Fri-son, Fri-art, etc (Fribourg); Blue Balls Festival (Luzern). Currently live in Zürich where I moved in 2003. Work in Bern (communication; field: social, politics). |
