DAVID JUNGLEZ (brooklyn, nyc) has been a staple of the new york city drum and bass community as a engineer, promoter and dj for over 10 years. his vast knowledge and experience made him a much sought after live engineer for opus sound systems to work for such noted acts as louie vega and richie hawtin. he is also credited with having designed and built the infamous “refuge” outlaw sound system. as a promoter, david teamed up with kae-sharp to promote under the moniker “quality of life”. they have brought jungle and d’n’b legends such as goldie, grooverider and j majik to venues in nyc for the past 5 years. – stumbling across one of our stickers in downtown zurich, david hooked up with dub_ex_machina and initialized a lively musical exchange with NEW.COM (dub_ex_machina, comfortnoise). unsurprisingly this ended up in producing “comfortnoise podcast 010-0710”, a representative excess of immense basslines and some pretty implausible tunes. thank you david for this as unexpected as prosperous encounter!
